In a spin for wildlife charity

Dunstable Leisure Centre will be hosting a Spinning and Aerobic Charity event in aid of Bedfordshire Wildlife Rescue Hospital on Saturday.

The event is being organised by a qualified aerobic instructor and is set to test the stamina of participants in the shape of one hour spinning, one hour of aerobics followed by a final energetic hour of spinning. Local people are being encouraged to participate in the event that carries £5 registration fee - which will go directly to the charity.

Bedfordshire Wildlife Rescue Hospital is the only wildlife rehabilitation hospital in Bedfordshire, and all money raised will go to extending the Charity’s animal treatment room.

Jennie Saunders, a Bedfordshire Wildlife Rescue Volunteer who is also participating in the event said:

“We were forced to close twice last year as we just didn’t have enough room to accommodate the animals, hopefully we will raise enough money at this event to prevent us from having to do so again. We are also extremely thankful to Dunstable Leisure Centre for helping to organise the event.”

Debbie Taylor, Business Manager at Dunstable Leisure Centre, said: “We are really looking forward to hosting the event, and hope that our members will get involved and help to raise money for such a worthwhile local charity.”
