L&D consultant appears on Channel 4 programme
A CONSULTANT gynaecologist and bladder specialist at the Luton & Dunstable Hospital will appear on a Channel 4 health programme next week.
Abdalla Fayyad will feature in Embarrassing Bodies, where he conducts laparoscopy and cystoscopy surgery on Emma Luther, 16, who suffers from painful bladder syndrome. Mr Fayyad said: “I was surprised to find that Emma suffers from a rare condition called interstitial cystitis. She was successfully diagnosed and treated after the procedure, which eased her suffering from the chronic pain.”
