Mayor cuts ribbon for new extension

After several months of building work The Ferrars Academy on Macauley Road, Luton had its new extension officially opened by the Mayor of Luton Dave Taylor on Wednesday last week.

The school council greeted the mayor, served refreshments and developed their knowledge of public speaking by providing guided tours.

The impressive extension has enabled the Academy to meet the changing needs of pupils and their families. They have gained two teaching spaces and a large multipurpose room which can be used by a range of audiences and for different purposes. This room has partitions to create sections and has toilet and kitchen facilities. It is available to hire for community use; any interested parties should contact The Ferrars Academy.
