Mayor's charity concert commemorates St George

A charity concert commemorating St George's Day is being held at Farley Methodist Hall on Saturday, April 23, at 7pm.

Mayor of Luton, Cllr David Taylor will be joined by Gavin Shuker MP, Lord

and Lady Mckenzie, Cllr Hazel Simmons, leader of Luton Council, Sian Timoney, deputy leader and other councillors and local dignitaries at the Mayor’s Charity St George’s Concert.

The concert will be held at the hall in North Drift Way and there will be a retiring collection in aid of the charities.

The ladies choir Cantata are returning to entertain under the direction of Chris Young who is preparing the programme of music.

For concert organiser and MC Ken Cameron this event will bring to an end nearly 20 years of organising social functions at Methodist centres.

Admission to the concert is £4, concessoins £3.
