Neighbours drop in for some bingo fun!

Colleagues from the store went along to lay on the evening armed with plenty of prizes - the care home has become a favourite neighbour of the supermarket since opening early this year.

Elaine Wilson, PR ambassador for the store, said: “It is a lovely home and the residents are great. Our colleagues who went to the bingo night had loads of fun with the residents and are already asking when the next evening is to be held. It is great that we can make a difference to the residents, many who suffer from dementia.”

Sainsbury’s Dunstable have had a dementia friendly trainer in the store to raise awareness to their colleagues and now more than 80 are now Dementia Friends, which has proved helpful when they attend activities in the Dukeminster Care Home.
