New opportunities for apprentices
A new hi-tech manufacturing facility that will make state-of-the-art intraocular lenses for cataract patients has opened in Dunstable.'¨The UK Implant Ltd factory was inaugurated by MP Andrew Selous, pictured above with VIP guests including business leaders, education representatives and government officials.
Production will begin this spring offering employment and opportunities for apprenticeships.
UK Implant Ltd is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CareGroup International, which is one of the world’s biggest opthalmic device manufacturing companies operating out of India.
CareGroup CEO Lal Dave led a large delegation of senior managers from the organisation to witness the inauguration.
