Maxwell Knowles, from Winslow in Buckinghamshire, plays for the Luton Town Football Club development squad, which is run by the Community Trust.

He decided to run 20 miles over five days last week to raise money for the community trust to thank them for the opportunity they have given him.

The trust is provides a range of community services to the people of Luton and Bedfordshire that seek to use the power of football to make a positive difference in the areas of sports participation, education, health and social cohesion.

Vicky, Maxwell's mum, said: "Maxwell asked if he could raise money for the Community Trust to give them something back.

"They have done so much for him and helped him, this is his way of giving something back to the Trust."

Maxwell is hoping to raise £500 and has already raised over £350.

On his Go Fund Me page, Maxwell said: "Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.

"I myself play for LTFC and have a lot to thank them for developing me and many other kids in there football.

"I would like the opportunity to give a little something back to this great community trust."

Vicky added: "I am really proud of him, this is something that he decided he wanted to do to help the club.

"We've had a message from Luton Town Football Club saying they are very proud of Maxwell."
