Postal changes for LU5 and LU6

ROYAL Mail is making some changes to the way it delivers post in Dunstable over the next few weeks.

Addresses with LU5 and LU6 postcodes will see their postmen and women using new delivery methods and revised delivery routes as changes are introduced on a phased basis.

Royal Mail will continue to deliver in the morning and for a longer period during the day. Many customers will continue to get their mail by lunchtime.

But the time customers receive mail will depend on where they live on the new route – it may be later or earlier than current delivery times. When mail volumes vary, delivery arrangements and times may be adjusted.

Royal Mail are also investing in new equipment to carry larger items to customers more securely. This also reduces the risk of injury to staff from carrying heavier mail bags.

Royal Mail’s collections and delivery sector manager, Glen Russell, said: “The local delivery team and I are fully committed to providing a high quality of service that is as reliable and friendly as customers have come to expect from Royal Mail in Dunstable over many years.”

All affected customers will receive a letter about the changes. Anyone with further queries should call 0845 601 1399.
