Rogue trader advice hour on Twitter with police experts

As part of Bedfordshire Police's support for the national Rogue Trading Week initiative, officers from the force and Trading Standards will be answering questions live on social media during an interactive Twitter chat.

The Twitter Q&A will be hosted by @bedspolice on Thursday (21 April) from 7pm until 8pm, and will use the hashtag #roguetrader16.

Anyone with questions relating to rogue trading such as cold callers, cowboy tradesmen, distraction burglary and handling stolen goods can submit them during the hour using the hashtag.

Experts Sergeant Ben Dimmock from Bedfordshire Police’s Crime Reduction Team and Enforcement Officer Allan Martin from Trading Standards at Bedford Borough Council will be on-hand to answer questions, debunk common myths and provide advice which can be passed on to relatives, friends, neighbours and those most at risk.

Daily advice and news from the last week’s educational and engagement week of action is also being posted on the force’s Twitter, Facebook and website throughout the week.
