Three hurt in road collision
Beds Fire Control received a call at 2.30am from the ambulance service following a road traffic collision on Dunstable Road, Luton, involving two cars. One man was trapped in a vehicle and paramedics could see smoke coming from the vehicles.
Firefighters from Luton and Stopsley community fire stations extricated the man using specialist Lucas and Holmatro cutting equipment. The trapped man was freed and he, plus two other injured people who had not been trapped, was treated by paramedics and taken to hospital.

Hide AdBedfordshire Fire and Rescue Services were called to a fire in an industrial unit on Bilton Way, Luton, at 7.59am yesterday morning.
Firefighters from Luton Community Fire Station found a fire in a gas fire heater at Adroit Aerospace Engineering.
They isolated all utilities and evacuated all personnel at the unit.
They fought the fire using breathing apparatus to protect themselves from smoke and fumes and used a fire hose with a covering jet to extinguish the fire, which was out within half an hour. There were no casualties.
