Then the master of the paranormal - Luton author Paul Adams – would like to hear from you.

He’s been commissioned to write a 25,000 word book on the subject by Amberley Publishing for their Secret Town series.

Paul – who already has 10 titles under his belt, including Haunted Luton and Dunstable – said: “I’m looking for strange, odd and little known facts . . . like the hearse at Stockwood Discovery Centre being driven by Christopher Lee in Dracula Has Risen from the Grave, that sort of thing.

“And did you know that the first ‘official’ investigation into a haunted house was connected with Luton Borough Council?

“In the late 1940s, a guy living in Aspley Guise wanted his rates lowered as he claimed his property was being devalued by being haunted by the ghost of Dick Turpin.”

Although Paul’s first love is anything spooky, he’s also looking for snippets about famous inhabitants, historical connections, films, murder cases and so on in the Luton area.

In addition to his current project, he is working on his first horror fiction novel, The Architecture of Evil.
