Two men in court over Natalia Doherty murder enquiry
Two men facing charges over the death of Natalia Doherty in 2003 appeared before magistrates this morning.
Joseph Doherty, 72, of Old Greenock Road, Port Glasgow, Scotland, and Daniel Doherty, 67, of Icknield Way, Luton, appeared at Luton Magistrates Court on charges of preventing a lawful burial, obstructing a coroner in the execution of his duty and perverting the course of justice.
The remains of 50-year-old Natalia Doherty, who also went by the surname Wilkanowska, were discovered in a garden in Luton in December 2015.
The last confirmed sighting of her had been in April 2003.
The men have been bailed with conditions ahead of the next appearance at Luton Crown Court on 27 June.
