Gareth Dawkins claimed a double figure common from Beckerings Reservoir this week, while there were plenty of catches at North House Lake.

Ray Charman banked a 26lb 6oz common, Josh Hammersley had mirrors of 22lb and 18lb and a 16lb 4oz common, Peter Baker a 19lb mirror and 20lb common and Glenn Millier a 23lb 6oz common.

Meanwhile, on the South Lagoon, Simon Heath snared an 11lb 1oz common.

Vauxhall AC

Determined Tex Marshall was the surprise winner for Vauxhall AC at Tingrith’s Manor Lake on Sunday.

George Kaye had appeared unbeatable, but was upset by Marshall who triumphed with 68lb 12oz.

Kay was runner-up with 64lb 13oz, Gary Page third with 50lb 2oz and Andy Waterhouse fourth on 34lb 6oz.

A total of 11 fished with other weights ranging from 28lb to 14lb as the anglers managed an overall haul of over 350lb.

On the same day, 12 battled it out on the River Great Ouse at Kempston to win the last of the Summer League matches.

The river was full of dace as Mick Burrell triumphed with 26lb 4oz, Mick Kelly was runner-up with 23lb 2oz, Paul Caton was third with 22lb 1oz and Nigel Porter fourth with 13lb. Three good chub for 10lb boosted the winning weight, while over 152lb of fish were caught.

Neil Shern just edged Caton to the top spot overall in the six-match Summer League series, and they were closely followed by Burrell, Kevin Osbourne, Nigel Bass and Porter.
