Peter Dempsey managed a 22lb common from North House Lake along with a tench around 5lb.

Also at North House Carlo Borromeo had a small pike that took a lliking to his boilie intended for carp.

Pete Hall fished Beckerings Reservoir and managed to catch mirrors of 24lb 8oz and 21lb off the top.

Chris Pearce did his first overnight session on Beckerings and was rewarded with a 19lb 11oz common and a near 9lb bream.

A total of 21 Luton AC members fished section five of the Grand Union Canal in a match mostly made up of small fish.

First place went to D Murphy with 13lb 3oz, including a 10lb 6oz carp, I Young was second with 9lb 12oz and J Davis third with 8lb.

Vauxhall AC

The lake at Woburn Sands has fished well this week with Peter Baker showing the way, catching three carp to 29lb in an overnight session.

Assistant head bailiff Tim Stevens caught six of the stocked fish, which are all putting on weight and they should soon start to hit 20lb.

Loads of fish are being caught at the Tingrith complex, with all three lakes producing some nice fish.

Woodlands is proving good for bream, tench and big roach and, surprisingly, they can be caught close to the surface on a variety of baits.

The Mere is a bite a cast, with luncheon meat and sweetcorn sorting the better fish out and on the Manor Lake lots of carp on pellets to 8lb are being caught.

The rivers are in good condition with a lot of dace, small chub and big perch coming out.

The club match at Kempston was won by Mick Burrell with 17lb 4oz, second place went to Danny Cruse with 15lb 15oz and third to Kevin Osborne, who netted 14lb 3oz.
