ATHLETICS: Experience is key for Revee
Luton 800m runner Revee Walcott-Nolan is aiming to use the experience she gained at the British Championships & Olympic trials recently as a boost for the rest of her season.
The 21-year-old was one of the youngest competitors at the event, as she finished fourth in 2.03.81mins, beating former British Senior Indoor champion and Olympian Jenny Meadows.
Walcott-Nolan said: “I had a really enjoyable experience this year at the British championships and Olympic trials. It was great to compete against the best in the country over 800m and I learnt a lot from my races.
“Although I was gutted to miss out on a podium spot, I was very happy with my performance in the final and my finishing position of fourth, which is a massive improvement from my position of eighth at last year’s British Champs.
“Running in a competition such as the Olympic trials against some very talented and experienced girls has benefited me massively and will help build my own race experience and confidence for future races.”
Walcott-Nolan was back on the track at the weekend, as she ran 2.06.42mins for seventh in her heat at the Grote Prihs Stad Lokeren event out in Belgium.
