Athletics round-up: Boxfit Triathlon Club
Boxfit Triathlon Club members competed at the RAF 10-mile road race on Wednesday.
In heavy rain and winds, Dave Coard was Boxfit’s first runner home in 1.05.30hrs as he finished second veteran and 24th overall. Following behind were Ross Finlay and Phil Jenkins in 1.11hrs and 1.12hrs respectively.
On Sunday, Boxfit were in action at the Ampthill cross-country. New members Gary Smith and Richard Danenbergs had cracking runs of 36.28mins and 40.25mins respectively.
Greer Kidney was first Boxfit lady home in 46.20mins as she took five minutes off her time last year. Following behind her were Donna Thomas in 52.13mins and Ingrid Bacon in 53.13mins.
