ATHLETICS: Time to enter the Summer Race Series

The first race in the popular Luton AC Summer Race Series kicks off this Sunday at 11am with the John O’Callaghan Memorial Five mile race.

The event, staged in memory of the popular Luton coach, is a two lap course through the grounds of Luton Hoo starting and finishing at Venue 360 in Gypsy Lane.

Medals are awarded to all finishers and the race also incorporates the Bedfordshire Five Mile County Championships.

On Sunday, July 12, the Wardown Park 5k also starts at 11am and is a traffic free two lap course through the park’s grounds.

Most Popular

The challenging Luton 10k race on the following Sunday, July 19, starts at 11am also from Venue 360.

It follows a route through the Luton Hoo Estate and back along the Harpenden to Luton cycle path.

Medals are awarded at the 10k and t-shirts for all Series competitors .
