The 30-year-old was competing for Shaftesbury Barnet Harriers, and claimed the win in the A competition with a throw of 50.66m, easily defeating nearest rival Kike Oniwinde with 46.29m.

However, the distance wasn’t enough to gain her a place at the Olympics Games, as she needs to throw 62m on two separate occasions.

Blair will now be competing for Luton AC in their Southern League match at Stockwood Park on Saturday afternoon.

Meanwhile, Luton’s Sabrina Bakare was back on the track at the weekend in the same event, also competing for Shaftesbury Barnet Harriers. Bakare, who is still returning from a long-term injury, clocked 55.01secs in the 400m B race to finish in second place.

The 20-year-old did enjoy success in the 4x400m relay though, as her team won the event in 3.38.91mins.
