Tries from centre Jake Hobbs and wing Alex Sutherland, plus eight points from the boot of Aidan Kenny, earned Luton a losing bonus point though. This week Luton host high-flying Dorking at Newlands Road.

Determined Dees triumph

RUGBY: Dunstablians claimed an 18-8 victory at Newbold on Avon in Midlands Two East South on Saturday.

Tries from captain Stuart Hall, Jack Newton and Duncan Holmes, plus a penalty from Michael Leversidge were enough for Dees to win out.

Lutterworth visit Bidwell Hill in the league this Saturday.

Park thumped

RUGBY: Lacklustre Stockwood Park were thumped 36-8 at Northampton Old Scouts in Midlands Two East South at the weekend. James Hankey crossed the whitewash and Jason Carr added a penalty but it was nowhere near enough.

This weekend, Stockwood are away to Vipers.

Vauxh and Park draw

RUGBY: Vauxhall beat Stockwood Park IIs 13-7 in a hastily-arranged friendly at the weekend.

Richard Harwood’s try and eight points from the boot of Dave Collins were enough for Motors.

This week Vauxhall face Stockwood Park IIIs in the Wells Bombardier Merit Tables League.
