Bobby takes on Nigerian Ockuko at York Hall

SHAMROCK fighter Bobby George will take on Nigerian Ideh Ockuko at York Hall on Sunday.

The 29-year-old is hoping to continue his 100 per cent record, with three pro wins under his belt so far.

Ockuko, 31, has had seven pro bouts, winning four and losing three, with his last win coming over George’s club-mate Duane Grimes with a second round knockout in November.

Fellow Lutonians Marco Stephenson and Daniel Mulhern are also on the bill.

Stephenson, 28, hasn’t fought since June 2010, and is up against Scott Hartley, who drew his pro debut last November.

Mulhern, 22, who is trained by former Luton fighter Graham Earl, is scheduled to step into the ring with 29-year-old London opponent Francis Maina, who has a win and draw to his name.

Another Luton boxer is also in action tomorrow as Gavin Putney looks for his first win since December 2010 when he takes on Charlie Thompson at Doncaster Dome.
