Duane hopes to make a ‘Big Bang’ on his debut
Grimes stepping into the ring as a pro
TWICE national amateur champion Duane ‘Bang Bang’ Grimes (Phillips) will launch his professional career in Tyne and Wear on December 12, writes Mark Wood.
He will be taking on the much-fancied Glen Foot at the Rainton Meadows Arena, Houghton-le-Spring, in a bill topped by the clash for the English cruiserweight title between David Dolan and Terry Dunstan.
Grimes said: “I have been training hard for the pro game and am now in great shape thanks to my trainers and raring to go.”
