End of the Storey for brave Frankie

Boxing last year’s finalist, Patrick Ward from Repton ABC, the first round was all action, while in the second, Storey unleashed some great left hands landing flush to Ward’s jaw.

The Farley youngster went for broke in the third round, landing some great combinations to push Ward back, but his opponent showed great skill with some fine counter punching to take the deicision.

Trainer Noel McIvor said: “Frankie has done himself and the club proud after only his seventh fight and it is a fantastic achievement to make it this far in the championships.

“He has a great future. With a little more experience and work in the gym he can go on and win the title.”
