Grimes earns sensational first victory

A SENSATIONAL stoppage win saw Luton Shamrock boxer Duane ‘Bang Bang’ Grimes get his career back on track with victory against Floyd ‘Pacman’ Moore at Oceana in Southampton on Saturday night.

Having lost his first two pro fights Grimes roared back to inflict only the second defeat of Moore’s career in the top-of-the-bill clash.

Moore, 20, had won his last three fights, two by knockout, but painter and decorator Grimes produced a polished performance to demonstrate why he had twice been crowned national champion in the amateur ranks.

He said: “At last I have got my professional career off the ground.”
