Mulhern backs Irish fans to attend his pro conversion
Luton boxer Danny Mulhern is backing the Irish contingent to come out in support at Liquid Nightclub when he makes his pro debut against Dan Carr on Sunday, writes Mike Simmonds.
Mulhern, 23, who is part of Graham Earl’s House of Champions stable, has tasted success in the amateurs and hopes his supporters make the switch to the paid ranks with him. The light welterweight said: “I had a good following in the amateurs where I won the Home Counties title. There is a big Irish community in Luton and hopefully we’ll see them all.
“I’m hoping for a good turnout, we’re selling lots of tickets and I hope they get behind me.”
