Prospere claims second win as Khan loses again

There was a second straight victory for Luton light welterweight Kay Prospere as he stopped Liam Ellis in the first round of their clash The Ring Boxing Club, Ewer Street, Southwark, on December 6.

The 29-year-old old, who is associated with Hockwell Ring ABC, had the 23-year-old down in the first round which was stopped after just 1.02mins as the Llanelli was condemned to his seven defeat in nine fights, with his other two bouts ending in draws.

Featherweight Sajid Khan suffered the second straight defeat as Liverpudlian Anthony Jevons knocked him out 2.09mins into the first round of their contest at Olympia, Liverpool, last Saturday (December 14).

The 23-year-old Lutonian was down twice in the first round as the Jevons, 22, claimed his second straight win.

Super featherweight Michael Devine, 24, who has nine wins and one defeat to his name, is finally set to return after a number of injuries when he fights against an as yet unnamed opponent at York Hall, Bethnal Green, on March 3.
