Prospere who has won all six of his professional bouts so far, with four knock outs, is mandatory for the Southern Area Light Welterweight title but his title aspirations spread even further.

Speaking to the Goodwins Promotions website, he said: “After I win the Southern Area title the one I want is Michael Devine. The fight could be “The Battle of Luton” and we could stage it in Luton next summer. Once I beat Devine then it will be English and British titles for me.

“Luton has not had a serious contender since Graham Earl and I aim to be the one to bring big time boxing back to Luton like Graham and Billy Schwer did.”

Meanwhile, Goodwin is delighted with the signing, adding: “Kay Prospere is an exciting talent, brings an excitement every time he fights, and will be winning major titles.

“It will be exciting to bring boxing back to the Luton area which is something we want to do in 2016.”
