Reynolds targets ABA glory in Dagenham

BURGEONING boxer Jordan Reynolds is targeting ABA glory when he fights at Dagenham this weekend.

The 15-year-old from Farley Hill, who used to be trained by Graham Earl, joined West Ham ABC about five months ago and will be in action against all the top boxers from around London.

He could face up to six fights before even qualifying for the quarter-finals, but is targeting to go one better than he did last year and win the class five competition. If he reaches the final he is likely to again face Isaac McLeod of Sunderland who won a world silver medal and beat him by a small margin in the final last season.

Reynolds added: “I’m boxing at West Ham now seven days a week. I’ve got the ABA Championships coming up on Saturday.

“It’s the first round of the London ones. It’s going to be the hardest round. Hopefully I can go one better this time, but it will be a hard year.”
