Tyson to brawl in Luton Mall

COMMONWEALTH and British heavyweight title challenger Tyson Fury has been using Luton Shamrock gym as his training camp for his bout against Dereck Chisora at Wembley Arena on Saturday, July 23, writes Mark Wood, writes Mark Wood.

With David Haye’s destroyer Wladimir Klitschko having hinted he could fight the winner, The Big Brawl promises to be one of the biggest nights of domestic boxing in a long time.

Fury is set to thank the town for its help by holding an open to the public training session at the Mall Luton on Monday from noon to 2.30pm.

He will also be touring schools and boxing clubs, with Shamrock trainer Mervyn Turner saying: “He is taking time out of his training schedule.

“We are putting a ring up in the Mall and he will be doing pad work and shadow boxing.

“People will be able to meet him up close for photographs and autographs. He will also be doing some school visits during the day and touring boxing gyms in the early evening.

“He has also agreed to do a question and answer evening with himself and Mickey Harte up at St Margaret’s.”
