However in return
Dunstable collapsed to 76 all out as they dropped to fifth in division one.

The seconds came so close to victory when they hosted Langleybury at Lancot Park in Division 4B.

Dunstable elected to bat after winning the toss. However they could only muster 178 all out as captain Lee Pratt contributed 82 not out with Frank Marshall and Harry McBrearty adding 34 and 31.

This almost proved to be enough for the hosts as they lost by just one wicket, Langleybury scoring 179-9 in return with Jack Kilduff returning figures of 3-21.

The thirds were also at home and played eight-man Little Berkhamsted, bowling their visitors out for just 124 with Hamzah Khan taking 3-10 from 6.5 overs.

Dunstable then reached their target for the loss of three wickets, opener Ned Whitney making an unbeaten 72.

The fourth team travelled to second placed Steppingley in the Beds Invitation
League Division One and put their hosts into bat.

They were set a target of 188 as Steppingley reached 187-7 from their 45 overs as Joe Thorne took 3-49.

In return Dunstable could not reach their target as they were bowled out for 143 in 37 overs, Andy Boocock top scoring with 65 and James Bromhall contributing 25.

Unfortunately Sunday’s rain meant all Beds County League fixtures were cancelled offering no opportunity to bounce back.
