Fragile batting again lets Dunstable down

A FRAGILE batting display from Dunstable Town saw them succumb to a 51-run defeat at table-topping Watford in Saracens Herts League Division Two on Saturday.

Watford were dismissed for just 142 with Mike Alston taking five wickets and Stuart Harvey four. However Dunstable’s batting again let them down as only Lee Pratt (30) and Skipper Luke Cherry (22) made any sort of contribution as they were dismissed for 91, dropping them back into fourth place in the table.

Luton Town & Indians CC hammered Welwyn Garden City CC IIs by 110 runs in Division Two. Luton were all out for 174 in 43.4 overs, Dhiren Salvi (42), Mohammed Haroon (39) and Divyesh Patel (22) the main contributors. Scintillating bowling from Salvi, 5-29, and Tahir Murtaza, 4-35, saw City dismissed for 64 in just 25.1 overs.
