Kingsway slaughtered as Haiderys head table

PREMIER Division leaders Luton Haiderys continued their unbeaten run as they slaughtered Kingsway CC by a massive 114 runs on Tuesday night.

After losing Hassan Pervais (42) to Aftab Ali (2-26), Haiderys had Tanveer Shah in punishing form.

He hammered an unbeaten 81, which included six sixes along with quick runs from Zawar Hussain (35) and Kamber Hussain (28) as they piled up 210-3.

In reply Kingsway were never in the chase as they could only manage 96-8 with Zahid Khan (29) and Navid Afzal (21) making the only real contributions.

For Haiderys, Zeeshaan Khan claimed 2-24 and Rahim Azim (2-6) bowled well too.

Luton Pakistanis fell to a shocking defeat to Luton Majestics who posted 120-9 as Allah Ditta top-scored with 21.

Nasir (2-17) and Hafiz Adrees (3-24) then bowled tightly as rattled Pakistanis fell just short on 117-9.

The result leaves Haiderys in a strong position but Pakistanis fall 12 points behind their opponents.

AKCC moved out of the relegation zone as they recorded their second consecutive win.

Lions CC could only manage a modest 104-7 which AKCC then made hard work of the target, scraping home by one-wicket thanks to Usman Malik who hit a quickfire 25.

LU Stars continued their magic run as they registered another comfortable victory over Cavaliers to stay top of Division One.

Batting first, Stars had Masroor Raja (61) in fine form as his knock ensured they got to a commanding total of 131-6.

Cavaliers, who find themselves in the relegation zone, could only manage 91-5.

Shaheen CC pulled of an amazing victory over Luton Cricketers who had been bowled out for 104.

As Shaheen wickets fell the run-rate increased to leave them needing 15 off the last over for victory, and Abdul Kadeer duly obliged with two sixes as his team won by two wickets.

Luton CC went level on points with Luton Cricketers as they beat AKXI by six wickets.

AKXI, who are rooted to the bottom of the table, made 114-9 off their allotted overs, but Luton’s Awais Raja smashed 67 as they reached the target.

Unbeaten Luton Eagles remain top of Division Two as they eased to a six-wicket win against Alpa CC.

Alpha batted first and could only manage 83-6 as Anwar Ahmed took two wickets.

Eagles raced to their tally as Zahoor Rehman (27) and Mohammed Fiaz (33) secured a well-deserved victory.

Accident Specialists kept the pressure up on Tigers near the top as they went level with them on 30 points. Specialists skittled Challney out for 97 and Aswaan Hussain’s 55 saw them to the finishing line as they won by two wickets.

Haidery Tigers triumphed as they chased down The Saracens total of 102-6, for whom only Rahoof Khan made a useful 18 with Aqeel taking 3-21. Haiderys then had Towqel (33) and Maratab Shah (23) batting well to knock off the runs.
