Tigers roar past Lions for opening win

The Luton competition includes players from throughout Bedfordshire in four teams, Luton Lions, Pumas, Sharks and Tigers.

All teams will play each other in T20-style midweek matches with players having the opportunity to begin a fast-track career to the professional game, with the best player will be awarded a contract with the MCC Young Cricketers.

Lions won the toss at Wardown Park and decided to bowl, scoring 182-4, which proved too much for Tigers as they totalled 165-7.
