Cycling round-up: Morgan is a ‘Future Star’

Cycle Club Luton’s Luke Morgan has been selected to ride with professional cycling team Rapha Condor JTL. He will be competing alongside Olympic track champion Ed Clancy for the team after he was selected as a Future Star rider.

Morgan will be competing in the first round of the televised Cycling Revolution Series in Manchester on Saturday.

He will get to taste the experience of competing in sell-out venues and get expert advice from the professional riders, team managers and coaches.

The Lutonian will also ride with his fellow Olympic Talent Team partner Joe Truman as part of the two-man Future Star team for Rapha Condor and they hope that their past experience of riding together will earn them a podium place.

Morgan will race in all five of the sold-out Revolution Series events. Manchester is followed by Glasgow on November 30, Manchester again on January 4 and February 1, with the series culminating with the re-opening of the Olympic Velodrome in London on March 14-15.

Despite the cold, Leeya Hussain was the third out of the 16 entrants in the U10 race, while Sufiyan Hussain was 10th boy in a field of 21 in the U12 section.
