After a fairly even start, the hosts began to take control as Dees were repeatedly penalised for infringements at the breakdown.

With the possession afforded them, Lutterworth maintained their dominance and led 15-0 at the break, while Shaun Mangan was shown yellow for the numerous infringements throughout the first-half.

One highlight for Dees was debutant Aidan Kenny, playing at full back, making several try-saving cover tackles and an excellent start to his Dunstablians career.

Lutterworth came out for the second-half, intending to carry-on the good work of the first and looked more clinical and determined.

With the score at 34-0, Dees finally decided to expend some energy as swift hands from the half way line, saw Sam Wilkins break wide and the covering defence concede a penalty for an infringement at the ruck.

Peter Thompson found touch five yards short of the line, to win the line out and although Lutterworth’s defence worked well to stop the packs’ driving maul but, a quick pick and go saw Aaron White touch down.

The remainder of the game was an even contest, but Dees shipped another converted try, before they at least ended on a high.

After several dominant phases of play, both in-tight and out-wide, another pick and go by Dave Oliver, breached the Lutterworth defence as he went over to make it 41-10.

Dees host Market Harborough this weekend.
