Double win for Bedfordshire U17s

Bedfordshire U17s defeated Herefordshire in their ECB U17 County Competitions Championship, Division 2B clash held at Colwall CC last week.

The visitors won the toss and batted as openers Robert Baxter and Oliver Pitts put on 54 before Baxter (22) was out. Captain Ben Slawinski (46) and Pitts (72) then added a century for the second wicket, before they both fell with the score on 158.

That soon became 159-5, before Beds rebuilt as Adam Dagless (44), Khuram Farooq (34), Al Mahmud Hasan (21) and Ben Smith (16) saw them reach 290 all out.
