Fine fifth for Dunstable

DUNSTABLE Swimming Club travelled to the Temple Cowley Pools in Oxford and came fifth in the second round of the Home Counties League earlier this month.

Amy Palmer achieved a personal best along with maximum points by winning her 100m butterfly race and the strong U11 boys squad of Sam Mead, Thomas Williams, George Kennett and Reese Housden swam to a confident second place in the 50m freestyle relay.

Housden was narrowly pipped to second in both his 50m breaststroke and butterfly events, while Chantal Smith managed a PB when she was runner-up in the 50m butterfly.
