AFC book Redbridge tie after Ampthill triumph

AFC Dunstable 4 Ampthill Town 1

New-look AFC Dunstable eased through the extra preliminary round of the FA Cup with a 4-1 victory over near neighbours Ampthill Town at Creasey Park on Saturday.

Ampthill took the lead through Robbie Goodman, but AFC levelled on 36 minutes as BJ Christie headed home.

The hosts were in front on the hour mark as Hayden Wills scored, before cruising into the next round as Gareth Harnaman netted a penalty and then added a second late on,

AFC’s victory set up a tie with Ryman North side Redbridge, who made the second round proper last season, eventually losing to Crawley Town and they start their Molten Spartan SML Premier campaign at home to Hertford Town this evening.
