AFC boss Heath concedes title to Kings Langley

The result saw AFC trail the leaders by two points, although have already played three games more.

Heath said: “Even though they still have 17 games left, with such a superior goal difference, they can afford to lose four games and we have to win all ours to overhaul them.

“Saying that though, I will not give up the fight to win games to try and catch them but is theirs to lose.”

The visitors made one change from the 5-0 win over Stotfold last Saturday as with Wayne Mills unavailable, in stepped George Biggadike at right back.

Heath’s side camped in the Tigers half for the first 20 minutes as great chances wer missed by Fabio Bufano and Jermaine Hall.

AFC deservedly took then the lead on 26 minutes when a superb Jonathan Cooper strike found the bottom corner.

However, they then hit the self destruct button in the next 10 minutes, failing to defend two set pieces to train 2-1.

In the second half, AFC were quickly on level terhsm whena great through ball by Biggadike picked out Chris Francis, who slotted home.

AFC were now putting the Tigers defence under pressure as a Hall header was brilliantly tipped over the bar.

The visitors finally took the lead on the hour when Taishan Griffith’s shot was blocked, but he reacted quickest to fire home the rebound.

AFC should have been out of sight six minutes later, only for Hall’s shot to hit the post and rolled away to safety.

A goalmouth scramble did not go AFC’s way either and it cost them as Tigers netted a 90th minute equaliser to earn a share of the spoils.
