AFC crash to big Jets defeat

FOOTBALL: After a fine start to life in the Molten Spartan SML Premier Division AFC Dunstable came crashing down to earth with a 4-0 defeat at Oxhey Jets on Tuesday night.

Adam Lowton struck two minutes before the break to give the Watford side the lead. Spencer Bellotti doubled their lead on 50 minutes and Lee Inch added a third three minutes later.

And Bellotti rounded off the scoring midway through the half as Jets scorched to victory.

At the weekend AFC beat Harefield United 4-0 with a brace from Terry Billy and goals from Craig Butler and Hayden Wills.

On Sunday AFC host former Conference and FA Trophy winners Grays Athletic in the preliminary round of the FA Cup. It’s their first game at the newly-redeveloped Creasey Park and kicks off at 3pm.

They are then due to host Biggleswade United in the league on Wednesday night.
