Blues blaze past Colney Heath and into Challenge Trophy final
Five star Dunstable Town eased into the Molten Spartan SML Challenge Trophy final with a 5-0 victory at Colney Heath on Thursday night.
Having beaten Colney Heath twice in the league this season, Dunstable continued their remarkable record of never losing at Colney Heath’s home ground.

Hide AdLee Roache scored his sixth hat-trick of the season as he moved on to a remarkable 52 goals for the season, while Leon Cashman noted the other two.
Cashman opened the scoring after 14 minutes of domination from Dunstable, when Nathan Frater artfully dummied Newman Carney’s cross and Cashman volleyed into the top right corner.
Colney Heath did not help themselves as Richard Cooke was given a straight red card for dangerous play against Moses Olaleye.
Later in the match the Colney Heath manager was also sent to the stands for persistent dissent.

Hide AdFrater and Carney were involved in second goal as Carney’s fine cross gave Roache the simplest of tap-ins.
Surprisingly no more goals followed before the break as every Dunstable attack was laden with possibilities.
Cashman made it 3-0 after 57 minutes with a cheeky close-range header over the keeper, Roache added the fourth on the hour mark before completing his hat-trick on 75 minutes.
Colney Heath were denied a consolation late on when they struck the post from a rare attack, while Dunstable substitute Tony Fontanelle was denied by a good save from the home keeper.
Dunstable face Codicote in the final, which is to be played at Preston Park, home of Harefield United on Bank Holiday Monday, May 6, kick-off 3pm.
