Blues win after Posh call off

DUNSTABLE Town faced The 61 FC (Luton) on Tuesday in a hastily-arranged friendly after their proposed game against Championship side Peterborough United was called off.

The Blues had the better of the early chances, hitting the bar, but after the break Jonathan Cooper took over with a hat-trick in the 3-0 win.

He scored with a fine long range shot on 65 minutes before converting Paul Spicer’s cross on 77 minutes and adding a sublime individual third moments after.

Dunstable take on Luton Town in the Beds Premier Cup tomorrow, before hosting Barton Rovers on Saturday.
