Croft praises Blues after promotion
Dunstable Town’s players were celebrating their second successive promotion after winning the Calor Southern League Division One Central on Saturday.
Chris Marsh’s goal after 25 minutes saw them secure the victory they needed over Uxbridge, to finish above fellow contenders Rugby Town, Kettering Town and Daventry Town.
Blues boss Darren Croft said: “I consider this a great achievement – coming as we did from the Spartan League and winning the Central Division title at the first attempt.
“I am proud of the players who recovered from the one poor spell we had to regain form at the crucial time.”
