Dunstable snap up full back Murphy

Dunstable Town have moved swiftly to make up for the disappointment of missing out on former Luton Town defender Shane Blackett by signing Slough left-back Danny Murphy.

Director of football John McLoughlin said: “Danny is another good signing who played over 40 games for Slough last season and has a total understanding of this league.

“We welcome him to the club and wish him every success.”

Meanwhile, Paul Reeves, Darren Croft and McLoughlin were awarded the Managers Of The Year gong at the Molten Spartan South Midlands Football League’s AGM.

The Blues were also presented with a special award trophy for their achievements last season, in which they went through the whole league campaign unbeaten.

There have also been developments away from the pitch with McLoughlin adding: “We would like to welcome back Malcolm Aubrey who has joined the committee as our new football secretary.

“Malcolm has a wealth of experience and I know everyone at the club is pleased he has decided to take the role.”
