Director of football Jonh McLoughlin said: “We have gone and strengthened the squad with the return of Newman Carney who has played for Braintree Town this season, but Alan Devonshire has agreed to let us have him back on loan and this shows how Conference clubs are taking Dunstable Town seriously.

“I have always been a fan of Newman and his attitude is superb and he understands the job in hand.

“Kyle Anthony is a central defender who really impressed us this season and without a doubt he will strengthen our back four and, with the addition of Alex Taylor, we now have two quality keepers fighting for the number one jersey.”

Meanwhile, Town are set to announce the signing of a new striker on Friday too.
