Director of football John McLoughlin said: “What a great performance. We all had individual conversations with the players after Saturday’s result and we knew that it hurt them and then they produced exactly what we wanted and knew what each player can produce.

“We were simply awesome and it brings a buzz back to the club.

“We went and watched the reserves on Monday night and already we have four or five players there getting ready to step up and we signed Taishan Griffiths at 16.

“He has a fantastic future with Dunstable Town and he made his debut last night at 16 years of age.”

Dunstable head to Chalfont St Peter on Saturday and host Royston Town on Monday.

McLoughlin added: “Adam Watkins is back on Saturday after suspension and we still have Warren Plowright and Marc Leach to return, so the squad is looking very good at present.

“I thought Northwood were a better team than Beaconsfield, but that’s football and if I was critical we should have had eight goals but I am a very happy man.”
