GB Deaf call-up Green’s Halfpenny for Euros
Crawley Green FC player Sam Halfpenny has been chosen to represent Great Britain at the next European Deaf Football Championships, which are being held in Germany in June.
Halfpenny, who is profoundly deaf, has to pay all his own expenses (£1,000), which includes transport, accommodation, food and training kit.
The Beds FA have made a generous contribution of £500 towards the cost.
