Crawley Green reached the Division One Cup final for the second successive season with a 3-0 win against Broadfields United.

Crawley gave up home advantage to Broadfields to beat the fixture congestion and started well, with Charlie Clayton’s effort cleared off the line, while Henry Mungwira and Clayton against went close.

Liam Toomey fired in a shot which was turned away by keeper Nathan Dyos , before United missed the best chance, Harry Henley putting a free header wide.

Goalless at the break, Green were soon in the ascendancy during the second period as Liam McGovern and Toomey combined to put Aaron Browne clear down the left and his cross was turned into his own goal by Tim Nye to make it 1-0.

United responded well and Ben Gill had a number of efforts go close.

His first shot was blocked by Sam Pemberton, while Dean Bull saved another effort with his third attempt in just seven minutes clipping the bar.

However, in the closing minutes Crawley doubled their lead and killed the game as Mark Bunker whipped in a free from the right and it fell kindly to Terry Billy who drove home.
