Hatters boss tight-lipped over move for Palace midfielder

Hatters boss Nathan Jones was remaining tight-lipped over whether the club would be making a move for Crystal Palace attacking midfielder Jake Gray.

The 20-year-old midfielder, who has been at Selhurst Park since 2014, making just two League Cup appearances in that time, was linked with a season-long loan switch to Kenilworth Road this week.

Gray has had spells with Cheltenham and then Hartlepool last season, where he scored six goals in 33 games, and when asked if there was interest from Luton’s end, Jones said: “It would be wrong for us to comment on other people’s players, when they’re done, you’ll know, but we know Jake and he’s on our doorstep if you like.

“But it would be wrong for to comment on our interest in him until any deal is done.”
