Lee missed Saturday’s 1-0 win at Plymouth, while McCourt had to come off at half time with an ankle injury, but both have returned to training as Jones said: “Paddy is no problem, Paddy’s trained, while Olly’s back in training and looking fit.

“He has a real desire to play games and to train, he’s doing really well Olly, we’re delighted with him, delighted with his attitude, delighted with how he’s coming along.

“He was missed the other day in terms of certain things. I thought Glen (Rea) came in and did fantastically well, but we all like how Olly is playing at the minute, although he has to continue that and he can better.”

Striker Craig Mackail-Smith and Dan Potts both remain doubtful though after they were both forced off early at Home Park at the weekend.

Jones continued: “We’re going to have to see with those, we’ve evaluated those this week, and we’re not 100 per cent sure, so I can’t give you a definite.

“I don’t want to lead you up the garden path if you like, so we’re just going to have to wait a few more days and see if they’re going to be ready for Monday.”

One player who is definitely out is on-loan Brighton defender Glen Rea as he is with the Republic of Ireland U21s for their home match against Italy U21s this evening and then a trip to Slovenia U21s on Monday.

Jones added: “We knew if we did take him then we’d miss him two games, important games, as he’s playing Italy tonight, so it’ll be a blow not having him in the squad.

“But we knew that anyway and we had tried to bring Glen in for a while, so it was a good time to do it with Olly missing out.”
