Hatters to host Aston Villa in EFL Cup
Luton Town will entertain recently relegated Aston Villa in the first round of the EFL Cup after the draw was made this afternoon.
The Villans endured a hugely disappointing season last term, but are now under ownership with Chinese businessman Dr Tony Xia replacing Randy Lerner earlier this month.
Former Chelsea boss Robert Di Matteo has taken over as the club’s new manager and is believed to have been given funds to strengthen his side ahead of the new campaign.
The game is due to take place the week commencing Monday, August 8.
